As a Maintenance Fitter, you will ensure the reliability and optimal performance of plant equipment and machinery. You will perform scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and support continuous operations. Using your technical expertise, you will diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently. Additionally, you will collaborate with the engineering team and contribute to improving equipment reliability while maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities :

* Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimise downtime
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans
* Conduct scheduled maintenance and equipment changeovers
* Support the Engineering strategy with practical site solutions
* Collaborate across departments to drive site reliability
* Contribute to spare parts strategy and inventory control
* Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance
* Proactively participate in plant improvement initiatives

Requirements :

* 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance fitter or similar role
* Relevant Fitter/Machinist trade qualifications
* Electrical experience or qualifications (advantageous)
* Forklift licence and HR licence (preferred)
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
* Able to read mechanical drawings and perform toolmaking tasks
* Self-driven, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
* Must be able to negatively pass a DRUG & ALCOHOL test

Desired Skills and Experience
Experienced Maintenance Technician with 3-5 years of hands-on expertise ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of factory equipment and plant machinery. Skilled in troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and coordinating planned maintenance activities to minimize downtime. Strong background in mechanical assembly interpretation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. Adept at driving safety compliance, managing change, and supporting site-wide engineering strategies. Qualified fitter/machinist with additional electrical knowledge, forklift licence, and strong problem-solving abilities. Passionate about delivering operational excellence and supporting team success.
Responsible for maintaining the reliability and efficiency of factory equipment and plant machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues to quickly identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans to reduce unplanned downtime.
Coordinate and conduct planned maintenance, including participation in scheduled maintenance shutdowns.
Interpret mechanical assembly drawings to support equipment setup and line changeovers.
Act as the technical point of contact for plant-related issues during shifts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, safety, and warehouse.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support the implementation of engineering strategies.
Ensure compliance with safety (CSR WSHE), environmental standards, and site policies.
Support spare parts management and maintain accurate task logging in partnership with the maintenance planner.
