About Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service:
Our obstetrics and gynaecology services operate under a network model, requiring collaboration across multiple facilities. This position will be based at Rockhampton Hospital and community clinics, as well as other hospitals including Gladstone Hospital and Emerald Hospital.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Clinical Directors to ensure high-quality specialist services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
The role involves education and supervision of junior medical staff, midwives, and other health practitioners. You will also contribute to day-to-day management of obstetrics and gynaecology services, including patient safety, clinical audit, and service planning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure Specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology services meet high standards
* Educate and supervise trainees and junior medical staff
* Contribute to day-to-day management of Obstetrics and Gynaecology services
Requirements:
* MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
* Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with AHPRA
* Ongoing enrolment in CME program
