Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Welder / Fabricator to join our team. This role involves welding / fabrication of cages, enclosures, support frames and stands etc. The ideal candidate will have a basic to mid level understanding of welding techniques, and the safe operation of relevant equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and grow within a supportive environment. This is not a qualified boiler maker type role.
* Perform basic welding tasks using (MIG).
* Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping using hand tools and basic machinery.
* Read and interpret basic drawings, and work orders to understand project specifications and dimensions.
* Assemble fabricated products according to drawings and instructions.
* Perform basic fabrication tasks such as drilling, grinding, and cutting.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring the safe storage of tools and materials.
* Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Assist senior welders and fabricators with more complex tasks as required.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Experience working within a workshop environment.
* Previous welding experience in a similar role.
* Ability to read and interpret basic drawings
* Drivers Licence - As some site work may be required
* Forklift Lift Licence is an advantage
Work Hours: 4 Day work week
Monday - Thursday 6am - 4pm (38hrs)
Friday - Overtime as needed
