The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Inspector to join our HME Planning Team in a permanent full-time Maintenance Technician role, performing equipment inspection duties. This position follows the dayshift Lifestyle roster and reports to the Senior Maintenance Planner.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify Work: Conduct inspections on HME equipment, review open defects, condition monitoring test results, and create work requests.
* Plan Work: Collaborate with HME Planners for work order planning, providing detailed work instructions, parts, services, and equipment needs. Step into the HME planner role during high workload periods.
* Execute Work: Review work packages, perform risk assessments, and conduct maintenance inspections according to site procedures.
* Record Work: Document work packages, update component tracking, and identify improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
* Manage Parts & Services: Requisition necessary parts and services for work.
Qualifications And Experience
To succeed, you should have:
* Trade qualification (Plant Mechanic or HV Electrician)
* Valid Australian Driver’s License
* Experience with mobile plant maintenance (e.g., Hitachi EH5000/EH4000, Komatsu 930e/830e, CAT D11, 16/24 Graders, etc.)
* High Risk Work Licenses (FL, WP, CN, DG, CS, etc.)
* Proficiency in written and spoken English
* Experience with Maintenance Management systems (preferably Pulse)
* Commitment to safety
* Attention to work quality and detail
