The Role
Accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex to very complex contract, administrative and business management outcomes within an integrated workforce. The role will require an in-depth knowledge and practical application of ministerial and media communications. The role requires a person with highly developed organisational skills, a drive for innovation, improvement and quality and a sound understanding of procurement and contract management in respect to contract deliverables and performance management. They will exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a key leadership role within the team.
They will exercise sound decision-making and judgement to provide expert contract and business operational advice. They will have in-depth knowledge of the contractual function of the business and are responsible for the development, implementation, compliance and review of policies and procedures relevant to their work within that function. They will engage in complex to very complex problem solving and issues management with internal, external and contracted stakeholders, and may coordinate and perform detailed or sensitive project advice and correspondence that impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes for Defence
About our Team
Estate Service Delivery Branch provides a national role for Service Delivery Division partner and customer engagement and agreements that provide a range of Base Services Contract services across the Defence estate. Product Directors within Estate Service Delivery support the delivery of customer service outcomes to the target levels by maximising responsiveness and effectiveness of services, and being the Service Delivery Division's single national specialist for the allocated products.
The Directorate of Estate Works Program Office (DEWPO) is accountable for product management including strategic engagement, product and service delivery planning including contract management, governance and performance and assurance functions.
DEWPO products include the National Program Services and Project Delivery Services management for the Estate Works Program across the Defence estate. DEWPO delivers a program of works aimed at restoring or sustaining capability and addressing safety and compliance requirements of facilities and infrastructure on the Defence Estate. The program also provides for minor development of new capability (Minor New Works) and for delivery of Sponsor Funded Works.
