NCS Australia is seeking an AI Mission Engineer Lead to run the hardest engagements, build the playbook others follow, and grow a small team of mission engineers. The role involves leading client engagements, establishing and scaling the agentic AI delivery practice, and driving rapid prototyping and production deployment of AI solutions. The ideal candidate has strong experience in engineering or solution‐engineering roles, a track record of shipping production AI/ML systems, and excellent communication skills.
Requirements
* Strong experience in engineering or solution‐engineering roles
* At least 3 years in forward‐deployed, embedded, or similar client‐facing technical delivery
* Demonstrable track record shipping production AI/ML systems
* Strong full‐stack chops: Python and TypeScript/JavaScript
* Deep experience integrating with enterprise systems
* Experience evaluating AI system performance
* Proven ability to lead small senior teams
* Excellent communication across technical and non‐technical stakeholders
