Our client in Melbourne is seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager/Head Mechanic to lead and manage their busy automotive shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, managing a team of mechanics and wheel aligners, and ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store
- Manage and motivate a small workshop team
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Maintain a well-organised and efficient workshop environment
- Manage scheduling and workflow to meet booking demands
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities for staff
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
Qualifications:
- Qualified mechanic with hands-on experience
- Previous experience in a management role is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Marlin experience of benefit
