Job Title: Security Sales Business Development Manager
Job Description:
The role of the Security Sales Business Development Manager involves prospecting and winning new business opportunities within a sales territory. This includes developing and establishing new business relationships with prospective commercial security customers, key influencers, designated vertical market targets, and strengthening existing customer bases.
Key responsibilities include achieving budgeted monthly/quarterly/annual sales for secured bookings & margin, conducting business development activities to establish a solid pipeline to deliver consistent monthly/quarterly/annual sales budgets, spending a minimum 70% of time in the field prospecting, quoting, and closing new business, and reporting weekly sales pipeline, weekly forecasts & activity through Salesforce.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with the preparation and response to complex tender responses, delivering quotes as required, targeting new accounts through tender responses and cold calling to maximize secured bookings and gross margin, ensuring best-in-class customer service, assisting with liaison and follow-up of customers as required, undertaking face-to-face presentations to clients for specific service and product offerings, and developing and delivering personal performance KPIs annually.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years within the Australian security industry including and not limited to security sales experience.
* Ideally hold certifications in Gallagher, Lenel, Milestone, Genetec, Inner-range & C-CURE.
* Tertiary qualifications preferred: Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
* Advanced Microsoft & Sales Force skills.
* Proven track record within a security integration business and the ability to develop a BOM, costings, and quotations for installation projects up to ~AUD$1m.
* Strong knowledge of security solutions, Access Control, CCTV, and Alarm solutions - ability to manage a complex design & quotation process.
* Experienced and proven track record in a sales and security customer service outcomes.
* Strong network within the commercial security industry.
* High level of computer literacy including MS Word, MS Excel & Salesforce.
* Must hold a valid driving license and Security license.
* If operating within Defence or Government verticals, an AGSVA Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 minimum) or the ability to obtain this clearance is essential.
