Procurement Business Partner - Fixed Term role

Are you a strategic procurement professional with a passion for manufacturing and supply chain excellence? Storco is seeking a **Procurement Business Partner** to lead critical sourcing activities and drive commercial value across our operations.
About the Role
As a Procurement Business Partner, you will provide strategic procurement support to our manufacturing business, ensuring cost-effective and reliable sourcing of key inputs including steel coil, installation contractors, hire equipment, freight, fixings, and roofing/rainwater services. You'll collaborate closely with production, projects, and finance teams to secure supply, manage risks, and deliver sustainable value through supplier management and commercial negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead procurement for critical categories: raw materials, contractors, equipment hire, and consumables.
* Partner with operations, engineering, and project teams to understand demand and technical requirements.
* Develop category strategies and manage supplier relationships.
* Manage tenders, supplier evaluations, negotiate contracts and ensure compliance.
* Monitor supplier performance and support ESG initiatives.
* Influence decisions through market insights and risk analysis.

* Reliable and cost-effective supply of materials and services.
* Negotiated agreements that deliver savings and mitigate market volatility.

Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 5 years' procurement experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial supply.
* Specific expertise in raw material sourcing (preferably steel coil and structural steel).
* Proven experience procuring contractors, hire equipment, and industrial services.
* Skilled in negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance.
* Understanding of safety, compliance, and risk management for contractors.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Familiarity with eProcurement tools (Jaggaer, Dynamics 365, or similar).
* Knowledge of ESG considerations in supply chains.
* Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
* CIPS or equivalent procurement qualification.
* Valid Driving Licence (class C red provisional, or full)
