Since 2003, St Oliver Plunkett Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) in Cannon Hill has proudly supported our school community, delivering high-quality before school, after school and vacation care for up to 195 children.
We provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children enjoy a wide range of age‑appropriate experiences—from active outdoor play to creative projects and life‑skills development.
We're currently seeking Casual Educators to join our friendly and welcoming team. This role is ideal for someone studying education or a related field, or anyone looking to gain valuable hands‑on experience while making a positive difference in children's lives.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging recreational and educational experiences that support children's well‑being and development.
* Provide a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for all children.
* Work collaboratively within an experienced team to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
* Participate in professional and personal development opportunities.
* Represent and promote the service in line with Catholic Early EdCare's values and educational philosophy.
About You
* Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
* Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
* A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play‑based environment
* Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire
* Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
* Willingness to take Child Protection Training as required
