A well-respected Queensland Government Department is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer. You will be working for an organisation that has played a significant role in directly impacting the lives of thousands of Queenslanders. You will be reporting to a manager who is knowledgeable, supportive and considerate of their staff. The team environment is friendly, helpful and tightknit. Although this is initially a 3-month temporary position, there is a high possibility of the role being extended. The role will be working at an A03 level.
**The Position**:
You will be responsible for a variety of responsibiltities within the accounts payable space. Some of your key, day to day activities will include:
Processing of invoices in a high-volume environment
Undertaking supplier reconciliations
Responding to and resolving supplier queries
processing EFT payments
Preparing reports for the Finance Manager as required
Ad Hoc assistance as needed by the team
**Your Profile**:
Although there will be a handover and you will have the support and training you initially require, ultimately you will need to assume complete responsibility for your role and will need an extremely thorough knowledge of the Accounts Payable process. Experience on a large ERP system like Tech One, SAP or Pronto will be ideal. To truly thrive in this very busy role, you will need to be self-motivated and results-driven. You will need to demonstrate substantial full function accounts payable experience working in a similar position, ideally for a larger organisation. Being efficient and possessing solid attention to detail is critical!
