About the Role
Wehave an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated GrowerServices Representative to join our Grower Services team who will play acrucial part in the team's success. You will be the first point of contact withour grower suppliers to coordinate the timely harvest of fruit and delivery tothe MFC packing facility and assist them in producing quality fruit.
Responsibilities will include:
* Develop strong relationships with MFC's citrus suppliers.
* Co-ordinate fruit intake to match marketing requirements and production capabilities.
* Work with the Grower Services team to undertake crop forecasting using digital mapping and crop assessment devices during the growing season.
* Utilise the latest Artificial Intelligence fruit assessment technology.
* Prepare, analyse and interpret leaf and soil samples
* Assess bin supply requirements and monitor growers' supply using purpose built packhouse software.
* Develop an understanding of MFC work plans insofar as they relate to pests and disease and chemical applications that could affect market access, reviewing spray diaries as required.
* Assist the Grower Services Manager in the facilitation of specialist "citrus orchard management" information.
* Work with MFC growers to assist achieving orchard protocols for the 'Korea/China/Thailand' (KCT) markets through web based platforms.
* Liaise with the MFC key production personnel to meet packing and marketing requirements.
* Maturity sample collection, testing, data entry and reporting utilising the latest testing equipment.
* Review grading data and packout information.
Skillsand Experience
* Have a valid driver's license
* Formal education/training in Horticulture/Agriculture and relevant practical work experience
* Knowledge of horticultural practices, particularly as they relate to growing citrus and relevant practical experience.
* Genuine commitment to providing high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders and to maintain confidentiality
* Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
* Well-developed problem-solving skills
* Strong work ethic with a focus on results, willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities over time
* Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
Strong planning and organisation skills, with the demonstrated ability to prioritize fluctuating deadlines.
