Speers Point, New South Wales – Full‐time Artificial Intelligence Developer (Permanent). The role builds AI solutions for local government, designing and delivering practical, enterprise‐grade tools that use Copilot, Azure AI, and enterprise LLMs to improve community services.
What You'll Be Doing
* Designing and developing AI‐enabled tools, assistants, and automation solutions.
* Building and maintaining AI agents, chatbots, and intelligent digital assistants.
* Integrating AI capabilities with enterprise systems such as ERP, GIS, CRM, and Microsoft 365.
* Implementing machine learning and predictive analytics where appropriate.
* Working with technology partners to deliver AI‐enabled solutions and integrations.
* Supporting proof‐of‐concepts and pilot projects to explore emerging AI technologies.
* Ensuring AI solutions align with governance, security, and ethical frameworks.
* Producing clear documentation for AI systems, integrations, and models.
* Supporting the uplift of AI capability across Council through demonstrations and training.
Skills and Experience You Bring
* Degree qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Experience designing or implementing AI or machine learning solutions.
* Experience with AI platforms or frameworks such as Azure AI, OpenAI, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
* Experience with Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or Copilot environments.
* Programming or scripting capability (Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar).
* Experience integrating systems using APIs and modern architectures.
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and communication skills.
* Understanding of responsible AI, data governance, and privacy considerations.
* Experience with Chat GPT Enterprise, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, or workflow‐automation tools (highly regarded).
