We are seeking a technical and customer-focused Senior Solutions Consultant to join our team. The candidate will understand customer business requirements and technical needs and design and present demonstrations that highlight the strengths of PagerDuty’s products. They will provide technical guidance, best practices, and support throughout the pre-sales and implementation process to ensure customer success.
You sit at the nexus between pre-sales, sales and customer success. You help understand customer environments, identify potential technical landmines, and support integrations from our 750+ native integrations, helping customers realize and optimize the value of PagerDuty’s Operations Cloud.
Responsibilities
- You are a consultant, technical salesperson and product specialist with a commitment to exceptional customer experience.
- Design and present demonstrations and run Proof of Values (PoVs) to highlight PagerDuty’s strengths and differentiators.
- Build strong, significant, and compassionate relationships with internal and external partners at all levels.
- Assist the technical discovery process and handle technical questions about the product.
- Help customers design integrations to provide a seamless implementation with their current technology stack.
- Explain complex technical concepts clearly to partners with business and technical backgrounds, from DevOps engineers to executives.
- Deliver product and technical briefings/presentations to potential clients.
- Maintain accurate notes and feedback in CRM regarding customer input and the current technical state of opportunities.
- Share and learn best practices and reusable assets with other Solution Consultants to enhance team quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of pre-sales experience, preferably selling SaaS solutions.
- Strong communication skills to build and manage relationships with new and existing clients.
- Ability to partner with sales/product teams and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Project management and account management experience; quick learners with robust problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel to customer sites as necessary (travel ~30%).
Preferred Requirements
- Understanding of SaaS world and Cloud technologies.
- Experience with Incident Management, Observability, DevOps, Automation and IT Service Management tools.
- Familiarity with PagerDuty space or enthusiasm for the product.
