One of our clients are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Permit Validation Officer. This will be a 12-month contract commencing immediately. As a Permit Validation Officer, you will be assisting the Port Safety Coordinator in managing Port compliance and safety training initiatives and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of permits issued by the organization.Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with the Permit to Work process and associated procedures, including but not limited to;Review and authorise Permit to Work forms, ensuring the form has been completed in full and signed by all relevant a level of risk management has been provided for all Permit to Work all relevant Work Certificates and supporting documentation is attached to the Master Copy of the Permit to Work currency of the Permit to Work register and maintain consistent and accurate communication to management and staff.Maintain communication with Operations and Maintenance and coordinate with the relevant parties to minimise any impact on that isolations are removed, and the lock box cleared following closing of Permit to Work formsAssist in site safety audits and inspections where practicable.Coordinate and maintain records for planned general inspections liaising with supervisors and the workforce.Provide support to supervisors by advising of relevant safety topics for discussion in toolbox meetings.Technical, Professional and Specialist Skills: Certificate IV or substantial completion of working toward an equivalent in Workplace Health & Small Groups, Certificate IV or Diploma in Workplace Training & Assessment (desirable)Experience in the practical application of safety and health in heavy industry at a trade level.Experience in delivering workplace training and in the development of workplace training plans.Current 'C' class driver's First Aid Certificate (desirable).A working knowledge and experience with permit issuingDeveloped interpersonal, communication and ideally, negotiation and presentation skills.Developed report writing and analytical skills.Demonstrated teamwork skillsStrong computer literacy skills 35AUD Australia - WAPerthFremantle & Southern SuburbsPerth6000
