The role:
We're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with strong Queensland infrastructure networks to drive strategic growth across water, sewer, stormwater and civil pipeline projects.
This is a role for someone who already understands how work is won in the Queensland infrastructure market — through trusted relationships, strong prequalification standing, and deep knowledge of council and utility procurement processes.
You'll step into a business with an established presence in the market and a strong pipeline of tendered and repeat work, with the opportunity to expand key client accounts and identify new strategic opportunities across Queensland.
Your everyday:
* Leverage and grow relationships across key Queensland infrastructure clients including councils, utilities, and government authorities
* Drive new project opportunities through established networks and active market engagement
* Work closely with estimating and pre-contract teams to develop competitive, tailored tender submissions
* Influence bid strategy, positioning, and client engagement from early market discussions through to award
* Manage end-to-end client relationships, including pre-tender meetings, negotiations, and post-submission engagement
* Provide market intelligence on competitors, upcoming projects, and infrastructure pipeline trends across Queensland
* Represent the business at key industry forums, client meetings, and sector events
Who are you?
* Proven experience in BD / Client Development within civil infrastructure, utilities, or pipeline construction in Queensland
* Strong existing relationships across local councils, TMR, Seqwater, Queensland Urban Utilities, or similar infrastructure clients
* Demonstrated success winning work in a competitive tender-based environment
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of infrastructure project delivery and procurement
* Ability to influence internal bid teams and external stakeholders at senior level
* A track record of converting relationships into secured, profitable work
