Medical Reception Role
The medical receptionist plays a vital role in providing exceptional support to the clinical team and clients at our headspace centre.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing superior secretarial and reception services to young people, clinical and management staff.
* Taking incoming calls and directing the caller to the appropriate member of staff.
* Appointment scheduling and maintenance of client records.
* General office duties including opening and distribution of mail, typing, scanning, filing and archiving.
* Assisting in the closing and securing of the building at the end of the day.
* Typing of medical letters to members of the clinical team.
Requirements for the role include:
* A minimum of a Cert III in Medical Administration or similar qualification.
* Excellent administration, time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Knowledge of the health sector and an ability to liaise with people from diverse backgrounds.
* Proven record in working closely with and being a successful member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organisational skills.
* Well-developed customer service skills.
* Ability to think and act calmly and deal sensitively with distressed people.
* Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
* Understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality.
