Job Overview
This role is part of a dynamic team responsible for developing and maintaining simulation systems.
The Electronic Attack Air Combat Training Support (EATS) program supports the RAAF Super Hornet and Growler aircrew and maintainer training system, ensuring the integration of electrical systems is accurate and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse complex electrical systems, including computing and ICT components to ensure optimal performance.
* Determine compliance status and investigate hardware sparing and obsolescence issues to minimize downtime.
* Conduct thorough evaluation and testing, and undertake life cycle costing analysis of critical sub-systems to inform strategic decisions.
* Ensure accurate configuration documentation to facilitate seamless project execution.
Required Skills and Experience
* University Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic Engineering or related discipline (Computer Science)
* Systems Engineering experience is highly desirable, with a focus on electrical systems integration.
* Ability to manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility, applying problem-solving skills to drive results.
* Defence platform-based or sustainment experience is essential, with knowledge of F/A-18F and EA-18G aircraft systems.
* Ambition to develop expertise in systems integration and continuous improvement.
