We are seeking a highly skilled Event Coordinator to oversee the successful execution of conferences and events.
This part-time opportunity offers a minimum of 16 hours per week, providing an ideal work-life balance for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Seek and secure new business opportunities through proactive sales calls, telesales, and on-site engagement with clients.
* Collaborate closely with clients to understand their event requirements and develop customized solutions that meet their needs.
* Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including staffing, catering, equipment, and vendor management, ensuring seamless execution.
* Ensure the venue is meticulously set up and presented to the highest standards for each event, reflecting positively on our brand.
* Monitor budgets and provide regular updates to clients, fostering trust and confidence in our ability to deliver results.
* Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and make recommendations for venue improvements, driving growth and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain a comprehensive list of suppliers to support the delivery of large-scale events.
* Provide administrative and operational support to the wider team as needed, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar events or venue coordination role, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective liaison with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* A keen eye for detail and a solutions-focused approach to problem-solving, driving results-oriented thinking.
* Proficiency with event management software and MS Office suite, facilitating efficient workflow and data management.
