The Position
As an Occupational Therapist at Active Occupational Therapy, the focus is on providing community-based capacity-building occupational therapy services. We work with adult clients with neurological conditions, including spinal cord injury, stroke, acquired brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neuron Disease and other acquired or degenerative neurological disorders.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work in the areas of:
* ADLS and Retaining, Upper Limb, and Cognition based therapy in the home, community and clinical environments
* Assistive technology assessment and prescription, including wheelchairs
* Home modification assessment and prescription
* Functional Assessments and reports, including recommendations for Supported
* Independent Living and Specialist Disability Accommodation.
What we are seeking
The successful applicant will be someone has experience (2 Years +) in treating adults clients with neurological conditions including vision, cognition, ADL, and upper limb therapy. You will have well-developed time management and organisational skills that ensures quality, efficiency, cost effectiveness and timely delivery of services including being accountable for targets and optimal outcomes for the business and clients. Experience and interest in working with a culturally diverse client base, hold high professional standards, and be committed to continued learning and professional development.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
* Current AHPRA registration (or eligibility)
* Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for home visits (if applicable)
* Current Police Clearance, NDIS worker Screening, NDIS Provider, Working with Children Card, relevant vaccinations (or willingness to acquire)
* Working rights in Australia
