We are seeking an experienced communications professional to play a key delivery role for internal and external stakeholder engagement, and be involved in strategic planning.
Job Overview:
* Provide communications expertise and advice to develop stakeholder engagement plans and projects in line with the organisation's strategic direction.
* Lead the introduction of initiatives which improve the organisation's employee value proposition and drive improvements in employee experience.
* Manage, implement and deliver the integrated communications content plan. This includes creating, uploading and distributing content for a range of channels including print, media and digital (website, intranet and social media).
* Manage media contacts to identify and pursue positive media opportunities for the organisation and maintain strong, positive relationships with journalists and other public influencers.
* Provide crisis communications and issue management support as required.
* Oversee the coordination and production of several key publications produced by the Communications team, including newsletters, bulletins and the Annual Report, as well as speech writing and media releases.
* Interview and photograph key stakeholders, clients and staff throughout the organisation for storytelling purposes across a range of mediums.
* Liaise with suppliers including photographers, videographers, copywriters, print suppliers and event organisers.
* Seek out, gather and then communicate good news stories from across the organisation.
* Partner on change or business-critical initiatives to ensure a communications plan is designed and effectively deployed.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations and/or equivalent work experience in a similar role.
* Previous specialist experience in a role responsible for delivering a broad range of communications services, including internal and external communications.
* The ability to develop and deliver effective communications and stakeholder engagement strategies, initiatives and programs within a dynamic environment.
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
* Experience developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders with demonstrated influence to inspire and drive change.
* Outstanding project management, communication and organisational skills.
* A thirst for knowledge, curiosity, attention to detail and a desire to take risks and try different things.
* Creative ability to develop engaging content.
