Job Title: Duty Manager – Bar & Gaming

Location: Atherton International Club Reports to: Club Manager Employment Type: Full-time Shift-based

Job Summary:

As a Duty Manager – Bar & Gaming, you will be responsible for supervising daily bar and gaming operations during your shift. You'll lead the team, ensure a high standard of customer service, and maintain compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements. In the absence of senior management, you will oversee the venue, ensuring smooth and responsible service across all areas, including the bar, gaming floor, and customer service points.

Key Responsibilities:

Bar & Customer Service:

* Oversee bar operations during assigned shifts.
* Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
* Assist with stock control, restocking, and inventory reporting.
* Ensure the venue is clean, welcoming, and operates in line with company standards.
* Manage staff breaks, shift handovers, and team performance.

Gaming Operations:

* Supervise the gaming floor, including Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs), TAB, and Keno services.
* Ensure compliance with all gaming laws, regulations, and venue policies.
* Monitor gaming operations to identify and respond to issues or faults.
* Conduct payouts and clearances following correct procedures.
* Promote and maintain Responsible Gambling practices.
* Maintain accurate records and incident reports as required.

Administrative & Managerial:

* Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and banking.
* Ensure RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling) compliance at all times.
* Act as the primary decision-maker during your shift in the absence of the Club Manager.
* Support onboarding and training of new team members.
* Assist with staff scheduling and operational planning.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Proven experience in a supervisory or duty manager role in hospitality or gaming.
* Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) /RMLV (or willing to obtain)
* and RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling) certifications
* Knowledge of local gaming legislation and harm minimisation practices.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and calmness.
* High level of integrity and attention to detail.
* Cash handling and POS system experience.

Working Conditions:

* Shift-based role, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
* Fast-paced environment, involving long periods of standing and physical activity.
* Exposure to gaming floor environment (lighting, noise).
