Lead people. Set standards. Drive performance.
Miller Leith is partnering with a well‐established Tasmanian organisation to appoint a capable and people‐focused Team Leader – Community Operations.
This role is first and foremost about leading people. It suits a leader who enjoys building strong teams, creating clarity in complex environments, and holding high standards in visible, customer‐facing operations. Applications are welcomed from all industries — your leadership capability matters more than your sector background.
The Role
You'll lead multiple frontline teams operating in fast‐paced, highly visible environments where professionalism, sound judgement and consistency are critical.
Your focus will be on setting expectations, coaching leaders and team members, and creating a culture where people feel supported, accountable and confident in the work they do. You'll help teams navigate challenging situations, improve ways of working, and deliver reliable outcomes day‐in, day‐out.
Alongside people leadership, you'll contribute to operational improvements, support change initiatives and work closely with senior leaders and internal stakeholders to lift performance and capability across the function.

* Building leadership capability and succession within the team
About You
You're a confident, grounded people leader who knows how to bring structure and calm to busy operating environments. You lead with empathy and clarity, communicate well, and aren't afraid to make decisions when it matters.
You don't need experience in a specific industry. If you've led teams in operational, customer‐facing or high‐responsibility roles, we want to hear from you.
You'll bring:
* Proven experience leading frontline or operational teams
* A strong people‐leadership style with a focus on coaching and performance
* Confidence working within structured environments with clear standards and accountability
* The ability to handle sensitive or challenging situations with professionalism
* Clear, credible communication skills
* Exposure to operational improvement, projects or service delivery environments
* A current driver's licence and eligibility to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People check
Why This Role?
* A genuine leadership role where people capability is the priority
* Broad scope, visibility and influence
* Supportive, experienced senior leadership
* A stable, values‐driven organisation with a strong community focus
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced team leader ready to step into a role where leadership quality truly matters.
