**Your new role**
As the Internal Communications and Engagement Advisor, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing an internal communications and engagement strategy aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives. Your role will involve providing high-level advice to all department staff, including the Executive team, on communication-related issues, materials, and mediums suitable to meet their specific requirements. You will also identify specific internal audiences, develop targeted approaches, and create message platforms that cater to the unique needs of each audience. In addition, you will manage and develop internal staff communication materials, establish publication protocols that reinforce the department's image and branding, and contribute to fostering a positive corporate image.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing internal communication and engagement strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
- Proven ability to provide high-level advice on communication-related matters to a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Strong skills in identifying and understanding internal audiences and developing tailored communication approaches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging communication materials.
- Knowledge of branding and image management principles, with experience in establishing publication protocols.
- Familiarity with media liaison and media monitoring tools, and the ability to analyse the effectiveness of media liaison strategies.
- A National Police Check (NPC) clearance.
