Title: Industry Lead – Buildings
Responsibilities
* Lead client engagement, pursuit planning and tendering for projects in Western Australia.
* Lead the portfolio of projects in the region; take on the role of Project Director or Project Leader for building projects within the segment.
* Build a pipeline of project opportunities and deliver services that exceed client expectations.
* Work closely with the WA operations team to build Buildings presence and delivery capability across all market sub-segments (Health, Education, Corrections, Aviation, Events, Commercial, Industrial, land development) spanning all engineering, specialty, and advisory disciplines.
* Provide strategic leadership role in the WA Building’s team.
* Build on client relationships to maintain and grow the pipeline of opportunities in the region.
* Develop capture plans for key opportunities.
* Manage and update opportunity data.
* Provide leadership and oversight, ensuring expected client outcomes for Building projects; may include taking on role of Project Manager or Project Director.
* Collaborate across disciplines and geographies with other parts of the KBR business.
* Expand the capability and capacity of the Perth Office.
* Support the Market Sector Manager for Buildings in WA to grow business across the state, including working on tenders or projects that may be outside of Western Australia.
Qualifications
* 10+ years’ experience within industry on Building projects.
* Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Building services and/or other relevant qualifications.
* Demonstrated experience of leading and winning project work.
* In‑depth knowledge of the local market.
* Experience in external and internal stakeholder management.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and good presentation skills.
* Self‑motivated and self‑directed.
* Driven to innovate.
* Ability to lead a team and deliver to agreed business plan targets.
* Ability to build an inclusive team culture that is authentic and focused on the development and wellbeing of staff.
* Track record of effective leadership, development and motivation of staff.
* Understanding of health, safety and welfare matters, ensuring adherence by the team.
* Ability to supervise and delegate effectively.
* Effective organisational skills, demonstrated by achievement of deadlines, priority setting and maintenance of accurate administration records.
