This is a Senior Control Systems Engineer - Pluto role with Brunel based in Perth, WA, AU Brunel Role Seniority - senior More about the Senior Control Systems Engineer - Pluto role at Brunel About This Role On behalf of our client - Woodside Energy, Brunel is presently sourcing a Senior Controls System Engineer to support the Technical Support Team for the safe and reliable operation of the Pluto LNG facility. This position is Perth based, with periodic site visits to Karratha as required. The assignment offers a strong mix of hands-on technical work, improvement projects, investigations, and stakeholder collaboration across a world-class LNG asset. Provide control systems expertise to ensure safe and reliable facility operation Respond to control system failures and support root cause investigations Participate in Opportunity & Vulnerability identification, including obsolescence reviews Identify, manage and implement control system modifications and improvements Manage relationships with critical vendors to ensure competitive outcomes Participate in the Field Leadership Programme during site visits Contribute to maintenance strategy, planning and execution Support the management of Process Safety Risk Assessment outcomes Ensure all work aligns with safe operating practices and technical integrity requirements Requirements Bachelor's degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline Discipline and Process Safety Management competency aligned with, or approaching, Woodside's Technical Integrity Custodian requirements Strong commitment to safe operations and process safety Experience supporting control systems across: DCS, Shutdown systems, Fire & Gas systems, Equipment PLCs Experience with Honeywell Experion and Triconex (highly desirable) Multi-disciplinary capability, particularly Instrumentation, will be highly regarded Proven ability to take ownership, progress work scopes and deliver safe, timely outcomes Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills within an operational environment Benefits Excellent negotiable day rate!
