Job Description
As an Occupational Therapist with our organization, you will be responsible for conducting home-based assessments across various client groups, including HCP, NDIS, and paediatric clients. You will also assist with the prescription of Assistive Technology, such as beds, seating, mobility devices, and automation systems.
Additionally, you will perform home modification assessments to ensure safe and accessible environments for clients. This may involve evaluating access points, installing rails and ramps, and designing bathrooms and kitchens that meet individual needs.
Your expertise in functional capacity assessments will enable you to provide clear, evidence-based reporting to support client care plans. Collaboration with families, carers, support workers, and coordinators will be essential in delivering comprehensive services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will require:
* A degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA
* Strong interpersonal and documentation skills
* A current driver's licence and reliable insured vehicle
* Professional Indemnity and liability insurance
* NDIS worker screening (or eligibility to complete)
