This role is specific to the Secondary campus and involves teaching within the English Learning Area, students from Years 7-12. A teacher is responsible for creating a positive learning environment that promotes growth in every student.
All teachers in the School have the following overall responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teachers will have the following duties specific to their role:
* Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning strategies, including the use of technology in lesson planning and delivery
* Maintain deep knowledge of curriculum content and how to teach it
* Create and maintain a supportive and safe learning environment
* Maintain student records and samples of work and report on student performance to students, parents, CEWA and other stakeholders.
* Ensure that pastoral care notes are maintained and updated on SEQTA as required
* Ensure that assessment and reporting is inline with SCSA requirements
* Reliably report on student learning to families
* Liaise with families and other stakeholders regarding student learning
* Participate in the collaborative development and evaluation of curriculum and regularly monitor, through observation and evaluation, the effectiveness of the learning/teaching program.
* Engage in professional learning
* Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community
* Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships between the school and community
* Participate as appropriate, in school decision making processes and professional development
* Engage in various extra-curricular activities as required
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Be committed to the teachings and values of the Catholic Church and the ethos of the School
* Have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
* Have well-developed skills with information and communications technologies, and have a clear understanding of how to integrate ICT into their lessons
* Have advanced skills in classroom teaching with an ability to teach classes of students with a variety of abilities and aptitudes
* Demonstrate effective strategies for managing/working with others
* Be an experienced teacher
* Demonstrate a commitment to professional learning
* Have a current TRBWA registration and a current Working with Children Card;
* Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School

Pay: $83,707.00 – $130,216.00 per year
