The Package: $71,289.40 - $78,773.24 gross per annum + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 8 of the QPRC Salary System 2025).

Are you passionate about designing and delivering unforgettable community events that make a real impact? Council is seeking an Events Officer to support in delivering a diverse range of events. From major festivals to local gatherings, you’ll be the creative force behind delivering moments that matter and events that make our community unique.
In this role you will:
* Support in the planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of a diverse range of community events such as Multicultural Festival, Music by the River, Diwali and much more.
* Support external, local event organisers through Council’s application and approval process, along with leading the delivery smaller-scale community events.
* Assist in the preparation of event management plans, risk assessments, logistics, budgets, post-event reports, proposals, along with marketing and advertising for Council events.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has qualifications in event management or a related field and/or relevant experience.
* Possesses strong proficiency in stakeholder management, ranging from community groups, vendors, government agencies, law enforcement, volunteers, etc.
* Functions well in a small team environment with a fun and engaging attitude!
