About Edinburgh Health Centre
Edinburgh Health Centre is located 25km North of Adelaide, at RAAF Base Edinburgh. This super-base accommodates 3500 personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF, as well as being home to the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine. The health centre operates a 16 bed low dependency ward 24/7. It also provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, dental, physiotherapy, mental health, pharmaceutical and rehabilitation services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).
What You'll Do
* Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members
* Conduct fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care
* Undertake assessments, interventions, managing medications, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions
* Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount
What You Bring
* Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* One of the following:
o ACMHN credentialed
o Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
* Mental Health trained nurse / UK trained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse
* Minimum two years' Post RN general registration experience within last five years in mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting
* Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' and 'Psychological Therapy' as per Medicare Schedule
* Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
* Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
* Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care
