A large multi-franchised dealer on the North Queensland Coast is looking for a Service Manager to run the front operations of one of their major brands. This company is long established and family owned, has a priority for not only customer service, but growth and development of its' staff. This is the perfect opportunity for a Senior Service Advisor/2IC wanting to step up, or a Service Manager of a lower volume site looking to get into a busier dealership!
Extremely well known in their community, retailing good solid brands and supporting their clients with quality parts and service facilities. With a Workshop Manager overseeing the workshop - you will lead the Service Departments customer facing Advisors, Warranty Clerks and other miscellaneous personnel as required.
Your main objective as Service Manager:
* Staffing - building a productive, efficient team that will professionally communicate, create & terminate r/o's, attend to drive-way service, quoting duties, loan car allocation to list, protect our customer base
* Review Performance Evaluations with staff & the Group Service Manager
* Customer Satisfaction - maintain a high level of CSI
* Protect current client base and build on it
* Introduce & develop processes and procedures to ensure a smooth operation within your department
* Generate profit, control expenses
* Assist and contribute to marketing strategies to aid business development
Desired Competencies:
* Technical knowledge
* Prior automotive industry experience
* Communication skills, verbal, written
* Effective time management
* Word, excel, internet & email skills
* Supervisory/prior management experience
* Prior Era DMS an advantage but not essential
