Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

This role involves promoting a culture of safety and environmental awareness on site, serving as a technical resource for EHS compliance, risk management, hazardous materials/waste, industrial hygiene, industrial safety, and/or ergonomics.

The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist will be responsible for managing and monitoring local EHS management systems to ensure site compliance with legislative, corporate and divisional standards. This includes overseeing the site's Accident and Incident reporting process, participating in incident investigations, and collating safety and environmental data for the site.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, with strong knowledge of EHS regulations and practices. They will also be able to generate regular reporting of all EHS metrics and key performance indicators both at the site and corporate level.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and monitor local EHS management systems to ensure site compliance with legislative, corporate and divisional standards.
* Oversee the site's Accident and Incident reporting process.
* Participate in incident investigations, ensuring root cause and countermeasure identification is completed to eliminate future injury.
* Collate safety and environmental data for the site and identify trends alongside improvement plans.
* Generate regular reporting of all EHS metrics and key performance indicators both at the site and corporate level.
* Review, own and maintain the site emergency plan.
* Coordinate the site risk assessment program.
