IDM Instruments Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team in Hallam, Victoria. This full-time role will involve utilising your extensive technical expertise and sales skills to drive growth for our leading range of industrial instruments and automation solutions.
What you'll be doing
* Actively identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within your designated territory
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business
* Providing technical product advice and demonstrations to customers, ensuring their needs are fully understood and met
* Collaborating with our internal teams to develop tailored solutions for customers
* Preparing and delivering sales proposals and presentations
* Achieving individual and team sales targets
* Maintaining detailed customer records and reporting on sales activities
What we're looking for
* Proven track record of success in a technical sales or account management role, preferably within the industrial automation or instrumentation industry
* Excellent technical knowledge and the ability to understand and explain complex products and solutions
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers
* Proven problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset
* Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, science or a related field
