We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join a high-performing Supply Chain team within a leading energy operator. This role focuses on delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective sourcing outcomes that support ongoing operations, maintenance, and field-based activities.
Working closely with Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Logistics teams, you will ensure the timely supply of materials and services across a diverse portfolio of assets. You will play a key role in managing suppliers, supporting technical requirements, and driving value through effective procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Translate demand plans into timely procurement actions to maintain continuity of supply
* Interpret technical specifications, drawings, and QA/QC requirements, working with engineering and suppliers to resolve issues
* Lead sourcing activities including tenders, negotiations, and award recommendations
* Identify cost savings and support category strategies through effective supplier and contract management
* Manage supplier performance, including expediting and issue resolution
* Maintain accurate procurement, supplier, and contract data in systems such as SAP and Ariba
* Ensure all activities comply with HSSE standards and governance requirements
* Support continuous improvement, process optimisation, and data-driven decision making
Skills and Experience
* 5 to 10 years' experience in procurement or supply chain within energy or heavy industry
* Experience supporting operational or maintenance environments
* Ability to interpret technical documentation and specifications
* Experience with SAP, Ariba, and RFx processes
* Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
* Practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
