About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to step into a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment with real variety. With a salary of $90–95K, you’ll take the lead in daily operations, functions, and events while guiding and supporting a large team. Ideal for a chef who thrives in busy service, enjoys the challenge of catering to diverse outlets, and wants stability with a respected employer.

Position Description

- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations across multiple outlets
- Lead and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen hands
- Deliver high-quality food for both daily service and large functions/events
- Assist with menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Take full responsibility for the kitchen when required

Position Requirements

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior CDP in a high-volume venue
- Strong functions and events catering experience is essential
- Ability to manage and lead kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work split shifts, weekends, and varied rosters
- Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills
- Relevant trade qualifications (Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
