Job Summary
We are seeking a Geotechnical Specialist to lead or support geotechnical assessments for mine infrastructure, including tailings storage facilities and waste dumps. This role requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to provide geotechnically sound solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Geotechnical Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations of active and closed TSFs, waste dumps, and other mine infrastructure to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
2. Design Input: Provide expert geotechnical input into design and risk assessment processes, ensuring that projects meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
3. Liaison and Collaboration: Work closely with site-based teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to deliver geotechnically sound and compliant solutions.
4. Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate with hydrology, civil, environmental, and construction specialists to achieve project goals.
5. Project Management: Participate in budgeting, reporting, proposal writing, and stakeholder engagement activities to ensure project success.
6. Innovation and Improvement: Contribute to technical reviews, innovation initiatives, and continuous improvement programs to enhance our expertise and services.
