The School of Medical and Health Sciences
The School of Medical and Health Sciences is a leading provider of biomedical science graduates in Western Australia through the 3-year Bachelor of Biomedical Science delivered on the Joondalup Campus in Perth Australia and ECU Sri Lanka in Colombo, and 4-year Dual Program with the University of Portsmouth (UK). The School is highly diverse with disciplines in Public Health and Occupational Health and Safety, Allied Health, and Medical & Exercise Sciences and houses the Nutrition and Health Innovation Research Institute, Exercise Medicine Reseach Institute and Centre for Precision Health. About the Opportunity
The Bachelor of Biomedical Science is a long-standing course in the medical and health sciences at ECU, offered at the Joondalup Campus in Perth and ECU Sri Lanka in Colombo. The Course Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing the course and provides sound advice to students and staff in relation to the course. Working closely with other Academic Coordinators, Associate Deans, Unit Coordinators and other academic and professional staff, the Course Coordinator promotes a collaborative and forward-thinking culture within the School and University, ensuring a positive teaching, learning and student experience.
About you
We are looking for someone with a a PhD related to biomedical science with demonstrated ability in teaching, research and leadership. The successful candidate is capable to take on coordination of the Bachelor of Biomedical Science, and teach into the School's programs.
The University is going through a process of curriculum transformation in response to the emergence of Generative AI, and subsequent TEQSA requirements. The Course Coordinator will be responsible for leading and implementing the course changes.
