There is an abundance to discover in your downtime.Purpose:We are seeking a passionate and experienced Conference & Events Operations Supervisor to lead the delivery of seamless, high-quality meetings and events at The Sebel Brisbane.
This role is vital in ensuring smooth operational execution, outstanding guest experiences, and strong coordination between departments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing event logistics, team supervision, and continuous service improvement, while also supporting the restaurant team during quieter event periods.Primary Responsibilities:Managing the smooth operation of meetings and events, from start to finish ensuring high service standards and guest satisfaction.Coordinate and manage the logistics of bump-ins and bump-outs for events.Set up venues according to client specifications, ensuring all equipment and facilities are ready.Coordinating with various departments to facilitate coffee machine, catering, audiovisual setup, and room arrangements (e.g., resets and refreshes).Supervising and rostering staff based on event requirements, providing training, guidance, and support to the team.Maintaining detailed records of event requirements, budgets, and feedback to enhance service quality and offerings.Troubleshoot any issues that arise during events and coordinate quick solutions.Assisting the restaurant team during the low event season/quiet period as needed.What We're Looking For:Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry, particularly in Meetings & Events operations.Passionate about delivering exceptional guest service.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, time management and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams.Proficiency in event planning software and familiarity with audiovisual equipment (preferred).Hold a valid Queensland RSA.Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts.At Accor, we welcome you as you are.
