Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as a Senior Gateway Engineer.

This role involves designing, implementing and supporting critical infrastructure solutions across various platforms.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and be able to operate independently, exercise sound judgment and contribute strategically to ICT direction and capability uplift.

This is a hands-on position suited to a professional who can design, implement and manage infrastructure solutions to meet current and future demand.

* We seek a technically strong engineer to lead the development of ICT strategies, policies and operational procedures.
* The ideal candidate will have expertise with F5 / Blue Coat Layer 4-7 load balancing and proxy systems.
* They will also have experience with Cisco technologies (ACI, routers, Nexus switches, routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
* Palo Alto firewalls and IPS solutions are also a key requirement for this role.
* The successful candidate will have knowledge of VPN technologies, email and DNS (Infoblox) solutions.
* Experience in developing and maintaining system architecture documentation is highly desirable.

* Minimum 5 years' experience in the design, management and maintenance of internet gateways and/or large-scale data centre networking environments.
* Mid-Senior level expertise with hybrid and public cloud services.
* Familiarity with Australian Government information security policies, including the ASD ISM and Essential Eight.

* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
