The Role:
This exciting opportunity is for an experienced and proactive librarian to join our library services team and support students, academics, and researchers across a dynamic university environment.
You will provide expert advice, deliver embedded information and digital literacy support, contribute to curriculum development, and guide scholarly communication, Open Educational Resources (OERs), and emerging technologies including generative AI.
Your work will support our mission to transform lives through learning and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with academic staff to deliver library support and embed digital and information literacy into teaching and research.
* Support and promote scholarly resources, including OERs, and advise on research tools and emerging technologies like generative AI.
* Build strong relationships with students and staff to deliver inclusive, innovative library services across physical and digital spaces.
Requirements
Key Qualifications:
* A degree in library or information services (or equivalent).
* Eligibility for ALIA professional membership.
* Experience in an academic or research environment.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver information and digital literacy training, supporting learning, teaching, and research within higher education.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience with research tools and technologies, including citation management, scholarly communication platforms, and emerging tools like generative AI.
* Knowledge of copyright legislation, open access, and sustainable resource development, including OERs.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, contribute to projects, and adapt within a team environment.
* Flexibility to travel to different site locations.
