Senior Manager Risk and Control Enablement – Business MaintenanceThe Chief Operations Office (COO) keeps the Bank running and powers our customer obsession. We support the fulfilment of a wide range of products for CBA’s Retail, Commercial, and Institutional customers, along with regulatory operations and Group regulatory projects. Business, Institutional, and Market Operations (BIMO) provides operational support for Business Banking and IB&M, including teams like Business Banking Operations and Market Operations.Line 1 Risk partners with BIMO and other stakeholders to advise on risk, compliance, control, and change, ensuring the safety of our organisation and customers. We promote a culture of risk awareness and sound risk management through:Implementation and adherence to the Operational and Compliance Risk Management Framework.Providing specialist advice, consultation, and services to support the business in managing risks and controls.Building and embedding a strong risk capability and culture across BIMO.Risk governance and reporting.Supporting change management risk assessments for projects and transformations across BIMO.Managing supplier risk assessment and governance.As a Senior Manager - Risk and Control Enablement, reporting to the Executive Manager of the same name, you will support the Business Maintenance portfolio and build relationships with key stakeholders such as Business Banking and Market Operations, Product teams, Operational Risk and Compliance Line 2, CBAi, COO team, and Controls Centres of Excellence.Key responsibilities include:Driving and supporting Business Maintenance in implementing and adhering to the Risk Management Framework.Designing and implementing controls to improve risk and compliance outcomes.Conducting root cause analysis of issues and incidents, and supporting remediation actions.Leading operational risk training programs to enhance risk awareness and culture.Collaborating with Line 2 and 3 to support reviews and audits.Assisting stakeholders in process improvements and change management risk assessments.Reporting on risk profiles, issues, incidents, and other relevant matters.Engaging with various teams across Business Banking, CBAi, and the wider Group to support reviews.Fostering a culture of learning and collaboration by leading and motivating team members to achieve objectives.We are seeking candidates with:Strong experience in an L1 risk advisory role.Solid knowledge of Operational Risk and Compliance Management frameworks.Experience in Business Banking or Operations is advantageous.Critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights.Influencing and consulting skills, capable of building stakeholder relationships at all levels.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proactivity and independence with minimal supervision.An academic or professional qualification in a relevant field is preferred.Risk Mindset: All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify, discuss, and act on current and future risks.We offer opportunities for growth and leadership, guided by our Code of Conduct to ensure integrity in decision-making.
