Pig Farm Manager Job
Job Summary
This is a Permanent and Full-time position available at a pig farm in Windera, QLD. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the farm, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with best practices and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage the site and facilities, including human resources, physical resources, safety requirements, consumables, documentation, and measurement devices.
* Implement and maintain the Company Quality Assurance program to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Collect and record data accurately to aid stock and inventory control.
* Undertake specific tasks assigned by management to achieve environmental, quality, and safety goals.
* Implement preventable maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
* Manage trial sheds and collect data according to trial protocols.
* Select breeding stock and/or pigs for sale.
* Conduct daily inspections of livestock to ensure animals are fed, watered, and environmental parameters are met.
* Euthanize sick or injured stock humanely and conduct post mortem examinations.
* Participate in company/industry training sessions and workshops as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* AQF Certificate III (or higher/equivalent) qualification in Agriculture (Pig Production).
* At least 3 years recent relevant experience in a medium to large size commercial piggery.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Advanced and extensive knowledge in animal husbandry, animal welfare, and pig production.
* Knowledge in using computer systems.
