Position Overview
We are seeking individuals for the position of Load Controller/Centralised Load Control Coordinator within the Passenger Services Department.
Load Controller Responsibilities
The main responsibility of a Load Controller is to calculate the weight and balance of the aircraft by ensuring all limitations are observed and followed for protected operations. Load Instruction/Report is completed in line with dangerous goods segregation, and the Load sheet for the Pilot is prepared indicating the weight and balance figures for each flight.
Centralised Load Control (CLC) Coordinator Responsibilities
The CLC Coordinator coordinates with client carrier load controllers at their centralised operation centre. Responsibilities include working closely with the load controller throughout the flight to provide information such as dead load statements, NOTOC, and fuel figures from the Captain. The CLC Coordinator also reviews the load controller's documents to confirm accuracy.
Selection Criteria
* Proven ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work harmoniously both within a team and independently
* High level knowledge of at least one DCS system
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Willingness to undertake any required training
* Previous experience in load control capacity is highly regarded but not essential; proof such as licences may be requested
* Competency in Weight and Balance course
* Positive attitude
