Program Overview
The Staying on Track program aims to enhance community safety and reduce recidivism by facilitating a smoother transition for young people from detention to the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team in delivering youth justice programs for 10-17 year olds, ensuring high-quality service delivery, risk management, and consistency in therapeutic practice.
* Manage team operations, including supervision, staff development, recruitment, induction, and rostering.
* Oversee referrals from Youth Justice and allocate tasks to suitable staff members.
* Promote a culturally sensitive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
* Ensure adherence to legislative, regulatory, and contractual standards, including audits and critical incident reviews.
Qualifications and Requirements
* A degree in Social Work, Human Services, Behavioural Science, or Psychology is required.
* A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) is mandatory.
* A valid National Police Check is also necessary.
* A Queensland Driver Licence is required.
* Candidates must be able to travel within the service region and work flexible hours, including on-call support.
