Services Technician (Shift Engineer) – Job Description
Location: Hilton Sydney – 488 George Street, Sydney, 2000.
As a Services Technician, you will leverage your electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance skills to keep hotel systems operating safely and efficiently. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer and other departments to support operations across the building and its assets.
Responsibilities
* Repair and maintain electrical, mechanical, kitchen, heating systems, and related equipment.
* Repair hotel lighting and TV network systems.
* Fault‐find in control wiring, single and 3‐phase motors, and commercial equipment and appliances.
* Repair data cable and network systems.
* Report equipment deficiencies, stock control and spare parts requirements to management.
* Coordinate and assist external contractors.
* Keep workshop clean and tidy.
* Perform call‐out duties and other responsibilities assigned by management.
* Respond to guest maintenance requests.
* Perform physical tasks: lifting, transporting furniture and equipment, climbing ladders, working in enclosed areas, and pushing trolleys.
* Comply with procedures set by the Chief Engineer, General Manager and Hilton.
* Maintain qualified, efficient communication between Engineering and other hotel areas.
Qualifications
* Previous electrical experience, preferably in a hotel, ship, hospital, retail or similar setting.
* Up‐to‐date knowledge of general maintenance and engineering work.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet established timeframes.
* Proactive work ethic.
* Passion for managing a variety of projects and tasks daily.

Full time, rotating shifts.
