* Position: Team Leader - Accounts Payable
Our government client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader who will be able to join the team for a temporary assignment, with a duration of up to 4 months. The successful team leader will be reporting into the Assistant Director, Financial Operations.
Duties:
* Oversee the Accounts Payable activities +Lead, supervise and develop a small team.
* Participate in day-to-day operational functions including: account processing, invoicing, monitoring and review, quality assurance, customer service, reconciliations, validations and corrections and records management to ensure the department's financial and governance responsibilities and obligations are achieved.
* Undertake research interpret and apply legislative requirements including Commonwealth financial compliance and legislative frameworks to resolve moderately complex issues.
* Preparation and approval of end of month processes including but not limited to:
o reconciliations,
o journals, and
o executive and management reporting.
Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will need to showcase the below:
* 2-3 years AP Supervisor experience
* Understand of Whole of Aus Gov legislation, procedures and policies
* Experience using financial systems and software packages - Expense8, TechnologyOne and Excel.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
