Job Title: Governance Specialist
This is a key governance support role within a high-performing public sector organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of secretariat services to senior leadership and Board members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all Board and subcommittee meetings, including preparation and follow-up.
* Develop and distribute agendas, minutes, forward plans, and Board papers.
* Liaise with Executive and Board members to ensure meeting effectiveness and quality governance outcomes.
* Administer and maintain board management systems.
* Maintain compliance registers, corporate records, and governance documents.
* Provide onboarding support for new Board members and act as primary liaison for governance-related queries.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a senior Board Secretariat or Company Secretary support role.
* Familiarity with Diligent Boards or other board management platforms.
* Strong capability in drafting agendas, reports, minutes, and high-level correspondence.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including at Executive and Board levels.
* High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
