As their presence continues to grow, they are now seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their expanding team based in Melbourne; this will be a remote role with future expectations to work in a hybrid model.
Role Overview
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful commissioning, troubleshooting, and long‐term performance of solar inverter and battery systems. Providing Level 2 support to installers and end customers, both remotely and on‐site, you'll deliver expert guidance to resolve technical issues and ensure all projects comply with Australian standards.
Responsibilities
* Deliver technical support and troubleshooting for PV and hybrid solar systems.
* Assist with installation and commissioning via phone, email, and on‐site visits.
* Provide advanced diagnostics and high‐level support for solar and battery systems.
* Conduct training sessions for installers on system installation and best practices.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated technical issues.
* Maintain and update technical documentation to support field operations.
* Identify and communicate opportunities for product improvements based on field feedback.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred)
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working with solar, battery, and inverter systems
* Solid understanding of inverters, hybrid energy systems, and related technologies
* Familiarity with AS/NZS 4777.2 and relevant Australian electrical standards
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer‐focused approach
* Willingness to travel as required for site visits and support activities
