In this role you will:

* Manage end-to-end claims processing in an efficient and an effective manner
* Liaise with insurers, legal representatives, and claimants to facilitate outcomes
* Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on claims trends and outcomes
* Provide advice to Council staff on claims procedures and risk mitigation strategies
* Support continuous improvement of claims management processes

Skills and qualifications

* Demonstrated experience working within an insurance-based role.
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including written and verbal skills, for communication with a diverse range of stakeholders including residents, Council staff, etc.
* Skill and experience working within a customer service environment with the ability to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
* Extensive experience working with the Microsoft Suite of applications and strong word processing skills
* Understanding of Local Government environment, Council’s operations and knowledge of relevant legislation and its application to service delivery is desirable
