Our client, with headquarters in Perth, provide innovative
**energy management and storage solutions** to the mining, construction, transport, retail and agricultural industries.
Core business activities include Data Analytics and Insights, Equipment Hire, Equipment Sales and Parts, Repairs and Maintenance, Engineered Solutions and Facility Maintenance.
Due to growth they now seek a qualified
**Mechanical Fitter** to join the team in their NSW branch in
**Tomago**.
**Your new role**

Working with the Branch Manager and rest of the Newcastle team to deliver hydrocarbon storage and delivery management system solutions for their clients, the Hydrocarbon Technician will provide and implement day to day
**assembly, installation, commissioning and maintenance services** for the business.
As the new team member you will be confident interacting with customers and answering any enquiries they have when you are on sites. You will be able to provide recommendations for our clients products and services for the provision of a complete solution for their customers!
This role will predominantly be workshop based, however, site work will be applicable from time to time including the occasional overnight stays.
The ongoing transitioning to a cleaner energy future will mean you will be involved in a greater diversity of projects over time (including biodiesel and Hydrotreated vegetable oil among others).
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Carry out service inspections in accordance with Australian Standards, manufacturer requirements and all relevant OH&S requirements
- Installation and commissioning of new, existing and hire fleet hydrocarbon (and other energy) storage and management systems
- Fabrication, assembly, fault finding, dismantling, maintenance and repair, and re-assembly of mechanical equipment
- Provide preventative maintenance service and repair of existing and hire fleet hydrocarbon storage systems including tanks, pumps, piping, valves, hoses, dispensers and associated equipment
- Attain a good working knowledge of and carry out all works in accordance with Job Safe Analysis, Safe Work Procedures and or Work Permit processes and authorities
**To be considered you will have**
- Trade qualifications **Mechanical Fitter or similar**with some experience in the petroleum/energy industry very highly regarded
- A proactive ability in regard to leads for sales and service works
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the relevant background and experience.
- The ability to undertake installation and service works in the petroleum industry
- Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety.
Qualifications in
**Welding, Confined Spaces, WAH** will be also be very highly regarded, however, any relevant training will be provided. An MR Truck licence will also be viewed favourably.
